August 2010 / A work placement at Shin-Etsu is really great!

Marco Dubbeld was doing a work placement at the Botlek location, as part of the final stage of his Process Technology course at the Shipping and Transport College in Brielle. Marco chose Shin-Etsu for his work placement because operations there interest him and because fellow students had been enthusiastic about Shin-Etsu.

Marco explains: "I don't think their operating processes are all that difficult, but there is a lot involved and a great deal to learn. I was really enjoying it.

In other words: the way they approach things at Shin-Etsu is super! You are given every freedom if you show you can handle it. And you are also allowed to do things yourself. For me, that's really good because, in the end, you have to be able to work on your own - both on paper and in practice. The shifts suit me fine and the tasks are instructive but also enjoyable.

If you do your best, you might have a future at Shin-Etsu".
