This year is the international year of chemistry. The NEMO Science Center and Netherlands Chemistry Association (VNCI) are holding an exhibition to celebrate this: ‘Chemistry on sea’.
Until 4 September, you and your children (or grandchildren) can visit the beach every day from 10.00 – 17.00 at NEMO in Amsterdam. But this is not just an ordinary beach, because at ‘Chemistry on Sea’ you can play around with molecules. Find out all about these tiny particles, discover how they work together and what they are made of. You can test the strength of materials in the surf shop, mix your own fragrances in the cocktail bar, and even deep fry molecules at the snack bar. ‘Chemistry on sea’ is interactive, informative, and most of all, lots of fun.
