Last year, Shin-Etsu conducted a study into replacing lead stabilizers with calcium-zinc stabilizers in PVC pipes. This innovation makes the pipes more eco-friendly, but, of course, the new green products have to be just as effective as the ones they are replacing. The study was presented at the Plastic Pressure Pipes conference in Cologne, where it met with an enthusiastic response.
