Shin-Etsu is committed to the VinylPlus program, which stimulates the more efficient use of PVC throughout its life cycle.
A good example of re-use is the initiative of plastic pipe manufacturers such as Dyka, Martens Plastics, Omniplast, Pipelife Nederland and Wavin. They market successfully three-layer pipes of which the intermediate layer is made of 100 percent recycled material.
One of these manufacturers collects used yellow gas pipes and gives them a second life as a red cable protection pipe. As soon as the red is dug out, a third life follows as an intermediate layer in sewer pipes. The DUBO-label indicates the excellent quality of the products.
This proves once more that PVC is a durable and recyclable product.
