French designer Christophe Machet has started a project called Pipeline. He utilised the PVC pipes’ pre-existing curvatures to form the backrests and frames of the chairs, and chose plywood to provide for the chairs’ seats and legs. The chair frame is created using a specially designed CNC machine, that is used to cut the pipe into standardised pieces, allowing for the product to be quickly and easily assembled on demand. The PVC pipe chair frames are then painted in white, yellow and red shades. Source: WonderfulVinyl.
